I'll be there Friday & Sat. I know member David Spillman is running his ITS 240Z as well as John Williams in his 240Z. I'll be shooting pics.

Well member David Spillman had a decent weekend in his newly purchased ITS 240Z. He won the ITS class PRO IT race Friday and took second overall to a ITR BMW. He was plagued with gearbox problems in the ARRC ITS race on Sat. but still finished. All in all not a bad weekend. Here is a shot from Friday nights PRO IT race. Sorry for the quality. It was very dark & overcast by the time the race started. This shot is at 1600 ISO!

John broke something in the motor while running 3rd. Dr. David Kim took 5th in his 240Z and David Spillman had gearbox issues as mentioned above.

The dowel from the the cam to the timing chain sharded after about 5 minutes on Saturday on John's car...said he would drive the 27 car for the enduro. I told him you said "hey" Carl, that seemed to perk him up on Saturday. Dropped my '73 off at his shop for some "special attention" over the next few months, can't wait to get it back.

You don't have any contact info for David Kim DDS who owns the #27 240Z and runs with John W. do you?

I don't but John does. You could call him 770-806-2926 or I can ask him the next time I talk to him.

    Hi Pete:
Thanks - I hope you guys in that area realize how lucky you are to have a resource like John anywhere close to you. Great guy, loves the 240-Z's and there isn't anything he can't do, or hasn't done a hundred times already. Very reasonable shop prices for first class work as well. Not to mention a very competitive driver...

I usually try to make it up to Atlanta for the ARRC, but this year it conflicted with a local Concours event I had earlier committed to attend. Also it conflicted with the Historic's at Daytona... Sure wish these event organizers of major events would coordinate a little better here in the South East at least.

    FWIW,
    Carl B.

John & David Kim won the Enduro ITS class Sunday in David's 240Z. John has forgotten more than most of us know about Z cars and he is very fast.

Here are some of my pics from the 2007 ARRC. Member David Spillman won the ProIT ITS class and came in second overall in his #69 240Z.

Seeing this brings happy tears to my eyes. Congrats! I can't wait to get my current 240z to street specs, then set up a second for drag racing. I have a grreat uncle back in Ohio who use to reace indy races, then became a pit boss. Now a days he owns his own auto shop, restores old cars and sells them, and does drag races on the weekends. I'll eventually be to where I'm racing, but not for a few more years.

As usual Jmark, great photos. I saw them on the IT board I think but they still look GREAT. I hope to be close enough to John or David to at least see their lines this year. BTW, Had I seen the Pharr car was for sale before David I would have started collecting coins to see if I could have come up with enough change. Oh well......
