The tone and note is great, smooth and musical to my ears. I drive around with the window down all the time, just to better hear it. But for my taste it could actually stand to be a bit louder. And the Monza I have definitely isn't as carefully built as the Ansas, the angle tips aren't aligned as nicely as I'd prefer.

But the Monza was quite cheap, and since I wasn't certain I wanted the dual-tip look, it was a great and inexpensive way to find out. Turns out that I do like the look, and will work to keep it when I replace my current small diameter (1 3/4") system. Currently leaning towards using a Magnaflow rear muffler to replicate the look of the Abarth system rather than the the Ansa look. But either look (Ansa or Abarth) will be fine.

Hi Dan, I ain't forgot about you . I was gonna suprise you when I was done . Finally found an ex Ansa guy to help assemble the parts with my blueprint drawings and various specs for member Tim Z. Won't have the final version done untill Thursday when it warms up again to 66 degress. We have a big storm coming and it's already below 60 according to the Weather Channel. VHT says the paint won't stick correctly below 60. Just need to do the Ribbons and Inner Outlet. Already sanded and masked off those areas but masking the chrome from the outlet paint required pin stripper precision. Been documenting the build with High Res pics but won't have those up till Friday, but I text'd you some crappy camera phone pics in the meantime. Oh and I also got those Big Red ANSA Stickers made you were looking for too . ~Z~

Hey Z, it's awesome the paint has worked so well. VHT is really quality paint. It is a little more expensive but I believe you do get what you pay for.

I wonder if that flat orange isn't the VHT version of "chevy red" engine color, which is actually more of an orange color. My local NAPA auto parts carries a lot of the vht paints and so does the local speed and machine shop

Yeah I seen that Chevy color too which is actually also correct. The one I'm using is code "SP114 Flat Orange" which leans a bit towards a Yellow Orange. Was wanting a gloss but on thier web site they list all the shades as a Flat color. I've seen Ansa Z Twin Stacks in both shades and the Orange Red was both in a Gloss and a Flat version. The Celica Ansa's I just had where the Orange Red color and more of a gloss. Strange thing is is that the real Factory Ansa "Yellow Orange" sometimes looks like the Orange Red depending on the sunlight and time of day. Yep VHT is cool stuff, like powder coating.

    Talking

    Here you go boys,
I introduce to you the all new WingZr0 Spec ANSA Twin Stack Exhaust !

More pics here at photo bucket link
    ANSA photos click here

    What do ya think?

I'll have it shipped off for Tim Z on Saturday, lucky guy I'm
already envious and I'm the one who made the Darn thing ^_^.

In the photo link you can also see the Chrome extended piece before it was
    painted Black!
And also the all Chrome version with no stickers or decals with
Gloss Black inlet pretty much sits now befor adding the last 2 colors of paint .
Will finish painting the Red Ribbon and ANSA Orange inlet paint tomorrow now
that it has finally warmed up.

Inlet size can be made 1.75 inch for stock 240Z/260Z, 2 inch for 280Z or
bigger up to 3.5 inches before hitting restriction issues
This is the entened version as mentioned earlier and it slides right onto the
the stock exhaust line only needing to be welded and bolted on with
custom hanger brackets for a better look also as mentioned.
Can also do a shorter version to eliminate the S Curve if hanging an all
new exhaust line from mid pipe back.
This will change the sound alot and probably make it louder but heh...

Only need to know your inlet size and preffered "Appearance Package".
    Now taking orders !

HAHAHA HA You know it buddy Speaking of witch still ain't heard from that Cat yet but still trying I just hope he's ok. But Thanks, it came out better than expected and dead on according to my measurements. Test fitted on my 280Z and it was perfect with plenty of play/leeway for adjustments on final fitment. And it sure is pretty . ~Z~

Hang in there buddy, it will take some time to make even when you have all the parts . But you'll love it when your finished! Most important thing is keeping everything straight and aligned. I must admit theres alot more to it than it looks. You have to seriously Seriously Triple Check everything, every measurement of every angle before you do ANY welding. Having made this first one and fully going through the entire process I can now see the room for a few small finer improvements. If you need pointers give me a ring, I'll be glad to help .

    Just a heads up guys,
I'll be home in about 90 days from now and will have about 3 days to
    build any ANSA's.

If you would like one then you have about 90 days from the time and
date of this post to save up some scratch (or lie to the wife ) and let
me know that you want one.
Just let me know here buy calling a shot out with your name with quantity
wanted, style option choices as mentioned on my site GangLoadOParts.com/z/
or in the previous post that also has the options list
and I'll keep count / track of how many to make.
This way I can get all the parts, meterials and paints I need ordered ahead
of time and delivered to my home so when I do get there I can crank them
all out in a day or two and in the mail before I leave back on the road.
Or else you have to wait another 30 to 90 days till I return

Payments will have to be made two (2) weeks ahead of time and will be
taken only four (4) weeks prior to when I come home and not
    sooner than that.
So basically 2 weeks before the orders go out is the deadline for
payments just to make sure I have enough time to get all the parts I need to
    make them.
Incase I didn't make it clear don't send in payments untill 4 weeks before
they ship, that means about a 2 week window to make payments.
If you live locally to Sacramento, CA area you are welcome to drive up to
my home and get your ANSA personally ^_^
I will let you know what days I'll be home when I do
    I.E. when I'll know I'll be home, you'll know

I take Paypal and USPS (US Postal Service) Money Orders ONLY.
Any questions please email me at GLOParts@yahoo.com

Hi guys! I'm still on the road and doing great. Just a heads up I Just found out that after i'm done wit my first phase of training on June 1st i can take a week off if i like. So If any one wants a Ansa made anytime soon to make it worth the time off work I need at least 3 or 4 orders, otherwise I'll stay on the road untill my ninety days are up. But if you really want one sooner let me know asap so i can get everything together . Z

I am just curious buddy. Since ANSA is still technically in business, it seems you could get in trouble for selling these in any kind of quantity using their name. Maybe you should call them ANZA just to keep yourself out of any legal issues. I know it is anal, but I have seen things like this happen in the Subaru world with replica parts.

Well technically you can say i have to, i am using all original NOS ANSA parts to make these. So to not use their name could imply otherwise that they are not thiers . And since it is designed by me i say "WingZr0 Spec" since it's based on one of their best designs. Also i neither say nor implie there is a warranty of any kind. I delt with enough ANSA hi ups to know they're good people, If anything i'd say it's proper fan loyalty .

Oh yes! Also if you have an Ansa that needs 'cosmetic' restoration work, let me know and send or post a pic and 'll see what i can do. I'll only charge cost of shipping and materials this one time for those .

Just been informed I have one extra ANSA now since a
customer had a change of planes.
Don't look like I'll have enough time to get more supplies so if
someone wants this spare Twin Stack i'll have let me know.

Also I'll include 2 of the Big Red ANSA Shield logos for free with each ANSA you buy. They're 6 inches wide by 7 inches tall. Or 6x7 inches as seen on my Ruby 280Z on my GangLoadOParts.com parts store home page. Window is closing on the last set, only have about a week left then i leave home back on the road to drive semi trucks again ~Z~

I scanned through the thread a bit, but couldn't figure one thing out. Is this just for the exhaust (essentially what is shown in the pics) and then you have to either fab or otherwise get the exhaust tubing from the head pipes to the exhaust? Or is this from the head back? Sorry if this has been answered before.

Just the rear section, it replaces the rear muffler. The rest is up to you.

Picked up a perfect NOS example at the ZCON 2011 - for my 240Z. Trouble is that it is so pretty it might just become "Wall Art"..... Made the entire trip just that much more enjoyable...

I'm pretty interested in a twin stack, I currently have an old ansa side by side setup, wondering if there was a partial trade plus cash we could setup..? Only if you are interested in it of course...otherwise I still am interested in a twin stack if there are any available.

They will be custom made to order and be completed in under a months time.

This weekend I finish painting one I already built for a friend in Conecticut who's been patiently
waiting for me to get home lol.
Anyway I will only have enough materials to do 5 this time so have at it you like at the link below.

How much for the red tape bud.

Mine is gone now, and I could really use some to redo mine...

The tape I bought at the auto parts store just keeps burning off.

15 shipping included. i'm guessing... But the guy is on EBay so I'll be fair and say buy direct from him cause he has the ribbon AND stickers for $20! The diameter you need is for a 2 inch pipe. He describes these as original ANSA FACTORY RIBBONS so they should be concors correct. Ordering my first set today from him to see and make sure. But yeah if you buy direct from him you'll come out cheaper bro

Hope Wing doesn't mind the hijack, but I have one of his restored OEM Twinstacks that I will sell for $300 shipped anywhere in the contiguous 48 states for free, as pictured in Wing's post from the first page. Not sure I'll ever get to my Z project, been sitting in my garage for several years now. Need some money so I'm selling some of the parts collection. If required I'll start my own post, but if not just PM me if you're interested.

[QUOTE=WingZr0;277297]Pics have been uploaded of the 3 restored NOS ANSA's in the classifieds,
there were so many I'll put a few here to at least show how good I was able to clean and fix them up!

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY WINGZR0 DECIDED TO OPEN AN EBAY ACCOUNT UNDER THE NAME iheartracing CLAIMING HE COULD SELL/MAKE UP TO FIVE SETS OF ANSA TWIN STACK MUFFLER TIPS...THEN CLOSE HIS ACCOUNT AFTER HE GATHERED THE $2000?

I called him about 25 days after purchase ($430 including shipping) to discuss size of pipes, etc. He told me he'd be mailing it out in 5-7 days after that. After being busy with work and family since my purchase on 23 May, now it's up and too late to file an ebay complaint.

WHAT KIND OF SELLER OPENS AN ACCOUNT, GATHERS OVER $2000, THEN CLOSES IT?

Looks like an OIF vet has been royally shafted.

Indeed. PM sent to you 73str86 along with phone number.
Long story short pipes were damaged by the shop prepping for finally assembly and stuck
me with the bill rufussing to pay for damages on $2,200 worth of parts and I then lost your
contact info thru paypal and ebay due to a stolling password.
I've been selling off my collection of datsun stuff ever since so I can pay back Tim Z, you
and one other custmer I finally tracked down last week.
I offer no excuses just an apollogy to you guys for this crazyness.
Never had a problem with a shop like this before but bottom line I shouldn't of offered these
pipes for sale before they were assembled to begin with preventing this situation.
Now that we found each other thru here please give me a call soon as you can.

That was my old set up, but it was a completely OEM L24 with a MSA 6-2-1 Header with a 12" resonator... and a complete 2.5" exhaust pipe up to the ANSA.

They look nice, but I still don't have a refund for a part that was never delivered. He said he'd send me a money order.

We can post and re-post pretty pictures of work he has done in the past. The bottom line is that he has not refunded at least the previous poster's and my money. Sure, he PMed me and asked for an address. Did I receive a refund for my $425.00? NO.

I have a NOS Ansa twin stack - the real thing not a reproduction. $425.00 plus shipping. RealEnth - run on up here to Clearwater, bring cash and you can save the shipping - and inspect the item before you buy. Bring your Z and I might buy you lunch... Drop me an E-mail at beck@becksystems.com and put 240Z or something in the Subject..

A super nice and helpful guy on this forum with the handle LeonV has a great profile picture of what looks like a DIY twin stack.

From what I see is two small off-the-shelf glasspacks with chrome tapered tips and (out of the picture) either one exhaust pipe with a Y or two exhaust pipes running up to the header

I was planning to do a horrizontal twin tip on a restoration like this but time ran out.

Here is a component that will get you on the path to twins:

    Thanks for the mention, Blue!

Mine are two stacked 12" glasspacks coming off of two separate pipes from the header. I planned out the exhaust system and had my exhaust guy weld it up and install it.

The Y-junction that Blue shows would work for finishing a single-pipe system with two tips. No need for fancy "twin-stacks"!

Take it from someone who spent an inordinate amount of time and money on this - to replicate these things is not as simple as it looks. The biggest problem to using most of the off-the-shelf splitters like Blue shows is the center-to-center spacing of the outlets. If the spacing is too large, the tips look odd (to me). To best replicate the Ansa-style dual tips, I found that a pair of 2 1/2" tips on 2 3/4" spacing was perfect. That was why I selected the particular Magnaflow muffler that I used on my car.

For closer tip spacing, the Y-pipe splitter could be placed in the differential region and two pipes run the rest of the way out.

When I do my next car I will just have two pipes come up under the tank and straight out the middle of the car. BRE style

Not to hijack this thread but I am the person who [now news to me] wing was purchasing the 'red stripe' from. I had purchased a 71 240 to restore with my children [a father-son-daughter] project which came with old Ansa tips. During the restoration process I took the tips to a vendor I use to make vinyl decals to have them reproduced so we could renew the tips. We had to run through a few prototypes and some web search but believe we have got them right. The project is nearly complete [after 4 years] and was a great tiime to be had with my kids, now 15 & 17. I stopped selling the decal sets on ebay as their fees [between listing, selling & paypal] were eating too far into the small amount i was making for the effort]. I still have them available if anyone is interested. $20 gets you 2 of the Ansa shield decals and 2 red stripes to wrap the pipe with. If interested feel free to email me at; palermodavid13@gmail dot com.

    Thanks,

Here to give everyone their money back finally.
For those members whom I owed an ANSA to please PM your name, and the city you Currently Live in. I’ll have to wire the money through Money Gram or Western for the FULL AMOUNT you guys paid. I get paid every other Saturday and can only pay one person at a time starting with THIS Saturday. No amount of apology can make any of this right except giving you back what I owe you. So please PM the info to send the money to you.
For those who’ve been wondering where I’ve been for reasons I can’t go into all this is because for fault of my own life went south on every level and I ended up homeless for a long while. Not ashamed to admit it. My intentions were not to steal anything nor I wouldn’t be here to pay what I owe. All this time I haven’t bought nor sold anything and been Blessed to have got back on my feet and been paying my debts in the order they occurred. It took me a long time to get things in my life straight and make a lot of other wrongs right. So I’m here now to pay the ANSA guys and move on to the last few things. ~WingZr0~

Well thank you brother. I admit I was pretty scared bout even posting this in public but again I've been through worse. After losing everything literaly all my worldly possesons I got the Holy Ghost in church with not a Single Penny to my name. That's when it all came into perspective about what matters and what don't. And just wanna say that no matter what your going thru GOD can save anyone. Back then I didn't realize nor wanna see what was going wrong with life and pride played a whole lot in it. But yeah though I see my inbox is full of request I'm not here to sell anything nor cut and run like some one else would have. Just been paying my debts and staying right and thankful man.

Glad you made it back Wing. The things being reported didn't fit. I figured something out of control was going on. Good luck.

I've got to be honest, I'm a little surprised myself. But after two years, WingZr0 came through and gave me my original money back. I can understand things turn for the worst sometimes.

He's a man of his word in my book.
