Default Where to find correct 7.8mm / 5/16" spade terminals?

I am in the middle of replacing my fuse box with an upgraded MSA unit. When it came time to chop off the old spade terminals and transfer them to my new box I hit a roadblock. As you can see the female terminals inside the sleeves have seen some heat. The reason for this is they are somewhat corroded and this corrosion lead to resistance which leads to heat. Needless to say I donít want to use them and need to source some new ones. I am also thinking of replacing the male terminals as well but some steel wool may shine them up. For now I am having a heck of a time finding the female terminals where I donít have to buy 10 Ė 10,000 of them and there is not a 3 week wait. I found one seller on Ebay that has a pack of 10 but they are in China and are 2-3 weeks out. All the local auto parts stores are coming up empty handed. Any idea where to find these and the matching sleeves? I have already checked out Vintage Connections and Cycle Terminal.com. CT has the connectors but they are designed to be put in to a plastic housing and no one seems to have the sleeves. Any guidance or direction is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Eastern Beaver (and no, it's not what you think). They are the only small onesie/twosie order friendly source I've found for the original Yazaki connectors used on the Zs. They don't have them all, but they do seem to have some of them.

    Here's their main connector page:
    Connectors

And they've got one for sheaths:

If you're going to place an order with them, send me a PM because I might want to piggyback with you. Help you make minimum and split the shipping from overseas?

You'll find four more of these 5/16" (8mm) spade connectors in the dash-to-front harness connector bundle, over under the RHS of your IP. In my May '70 Z (dash is out of the car at the moment), a couple of these also show signs of the same heat/corrosion issue. Working on the assumption that the (electrical) chain is only as strong as its weakest link, you may want to service these connectors too. FWIW, I also found that the copper wire was corroded in the terminal crimp area. There's wasn't enough wire slack to make me feel comfortable about chopping off a 1/4" to get to some shiny wire, so I polished the corrosion off with a Dremel (using the little wire wheel attachment) before crimping on the new connector.

    Hey Jeff,

I picked up a wack of Japanese electrical connectors when in Japan. I am away from home currently but return tomorrow. Please send me a PM to remind me to look. I still have to get a ring fro dwk and a sight glass for Zcars... I am so forgetful.

I know I've posted this before but dang if I can't find the darn posts either!

Eagle Day , PORSCHE, BMW, MERCEDES, AERO KITS, APPAREL, ACCESSORIES, PERFORMANCE
I've used these guys a couple of times in the past. Never any problem with small quantities. I've gotten replacement bullet connectors w/ sleeves from them before.

    DatsunParts.COM Inc.- Datsun Roadster Parts
they have some of the original connector bodies, not sure of the sleeve you are looking for

    Hi Jeff

I picked these up at a shop like an Autozone in Japan last year.

If they will work send me your mailing address and how many you need and I will send.

    They are rated 12V 200W (~16.7A DC)

I have some of the female terminals (same size as on the fusible links - I believe). I will send you some if you PM me your address. How many do you need, I'll see what I can do...
