    Follow this link:

    http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=21641

There is an original link somewhere around where I found Phil from Challenge Fibre Glasses contact detail, if they are not in this one.

Let us know how much he quotes you for each item. Time can oftern be an issue with Phil, sometimes we need to make a run so he can bulk manufactor them.

    Cheers,

Do we have any 240K guys still in melbourne?

I was talking to Dan (Kproject) over email today, and perhaps it is time that we put our orders together into 1 big order.. chances are that Phil may actually find the time (especially if it is worthwhile for him).

If we were given the oportunity, can everyone post here what they would buy.. we can get our numbers together, and hopefully find a melb. person to handle the pickup of them all (i think postage and handling is part of the issue with challenge)

I would definately be in for a GT-R Grill

I'd want a full set: Front & rear spoilers, over-fenders (flares) and a GT-R grill.
But it would have to be shipped to Perth and packed really well to avoid being damaged. Last F/G thing I had sent form over east arrived damaged.

I would like to get a grill, and possibly the front lip and rear spoiler.

I've been trying to call Phil at challenge fibreglass for the last couple days, to get the prices and post them up for everyone, but his phone keeps going to the answering machine...

Silly question, are the flares the same for the 4 door and 2 door (except where they need to be cut, so you can open the door)

The flares will fit 4 door. I am mocking mine up at the moment, I have made the cut and cut out the rear doors also. There is a hell of alot more work doing a 4 door, if you want to do it right you need to re fabricate a rear dog leg=big job.

heres a sneak peak of the project, this is the only photo I have as I am uploading off my phone. I got this done on the weekend, this is all just mockup stuff and the mockup motor is a rb30 and I will be running a 26 so the engine will sit around 30mm lower. Will be running twins just thought for the photo this setup would look cool.

    Cheers

Do you use the standard 240K cross member ?, what engine mounts ?

I'll like to collect information in my 'text' file for later use..

standard cross member works fine (using the RB25/26 rubber isolators), just have to fabricate some mounts and a gearbox mount.. of course you need a custom length tail shaft too..

i did it much easier when i did my RB20.... i modified origional cross, mixed and matehed mounts, and modified g-box mount... could have done whole thing in a day if i had been in a rush

and yeah i got a huge 3" custom shaft with massive uni's so it WON'T brake...

Actually, when you speak to Phil, mention to him that the grill he promised me (Kent, the guy who gave him the original grill to mould from) years ago will be in this order (just in case he does happen to remember by himself).

And if it is easier for you, i am happy to have mine sent with Bruce's (and i can grab it from him)

Who's this Adzmax guy? I hear he likes to drink at Sheppo

Pending prices im in for 2 whole sets

Also instead of leaving it up to aust post, for the sydney guys, how about i drive down and bring everything back myself so i know its safe and we just divide the fuel cost between the people who's parts i carry?

as a guide only last time I was quoted figures they went like this

    Flares: $270 a set
    Front lip $140
    Rear spoiler $170
    Grill $250

I think we should get a better price than this considering the amount he can turn out.

I'd be after a full set if someone (Phil or whoever) could send it to Perth. Well packaged so they don't get damaged.

Would shipping stateside be possible? A local KenMary owner is asking me to locate these for him from Japan, but thinking he can do this himself w/o language barriers from ya'll.

Surely if the postage was covered someone wouldnt mind sending it to you

Afterall, if it ads another set of pieces we should all have a slightly better bargaining power with Phil

you may have trouble getting them down to a size that can be sent internationaly(short of a $$$ courier)..

we had a lot of trouble getting them sent via EMS originally from japan..

They are quite long (grill especially)

Sounds feasible. I use blackcat and UPS to get stuff out of Japan. Not too bad. I will have to forward this thread to the interested buyer so he can chime in on his own.

I was under the impression they are the same, except for the cut, to allow the door to open.

Hi all, I am based in between Albury and Canberra, I have 240k coupe, RB25DET, I have also talked to Challenge fibreglass, but haven't got word back in a while, so I would be keen to join in a group buy for a full set of items.
    cheers.

    Seems a bit unlikely?
This guy has a potential of 10+ customers spending alot of money and he cant even get back to us about prices.

i've spoken to him in the last 3 months, and he has lots of bigger jobs, eg. commercial, so that seems to take up most of their time, but if he has a large order, I think he should come through with the goods.

hehe, i wouldn't hold my breath, i am still waiting 2+ years later!

i was hoping that i could atleast get the grill out of him that he promised to make me 2 years ago.. but maybe we should look collectively at buying another one out of japan and using that as a mould. It is only becasue i did this originally that Phil has the grill mould.

Nope, not that anyone has let on (otherwise we wouldn't be wasting our time with phil )

My 1st one was destroyed when he took the mould, and the one i bought was shipped off to the US (and funnily enough, eventually back to japan) with a car i sold.. and still waiting for phil to sell me a replacement

The shipping on the grill from japan was not cheap either.. and it was slightly over the maximum EMS postage size.. it did make it through though (though slightly bent and damaged)

    I'll have

    FiberGlass Flairs: $280
    Gt-R Grill: $160 Bare

Are these one of prices, or bulk purchase price?

Nice work mate. I'm still down for the full set - don't think I'll worry about the brackets and mesh, can add them later

We have the demand but any word on supply?

    Sweeta.
I'm still in for the list a page back. I would prefer to see pictures of the Grills with the mesh prior to coughing out an extra $110 per item. I will change my delivery location to a Melbourne pickup. My Cars are stored in Melbourne, so it does not make any sense to shipp them up to Sydney.

Good Work on the chase up.

What kind of prices? Do you think it would be better to just get the initial set Challenge has done now and then tell them to not bother about the rest. After the several years waiting for any contact from him (Challenge), I offer little loyalty to them at all.

dont know what the difference on prices would be, quality would have to be the difference, some samples of Kds manufactured parts : http://classicskylinesaustralia.com/...hp?topic=134.0

the fiberglass stuff is actually better than the original nissan stuff,

ill email Phil today just us few that have already confirmed the prices are ok, so maybe a few sets from both suppliers or something like that. kds will still have to have the molds made so that will take time. lets see how much Phil can get out and check that the quality is there.

Phil is all promises. I would eat my words but I wont be suprised at all if you are still waiting at christmas for even one set of what you are asking for. I am still waiting, its been over a year and I ring him every two weeks he just keeps promising but never delivers. He doesnt care that there are 15 orders if anything I think that will hinder you get them faster. GL though
