Rear window weatherstripping & molding question

The rubber weatherstripping around the rear window has a channel that holds the chrome molding. In each corner is a separate chrome piece. One of these pieces has popped out and I can't get it to go back in (well I can get it back in but it's not tight like in the other three corners and it won't stay). The rubber on that corner seems a bit worn, but is not cracked.

Any help on how to get it back in? Is it salvagable or is it time to replace all of the weatherstripping around my rear window? How hard is this to do and where do I get the parts?

If the weathersrtipping is not cracked or show signs of dry rot, I'd leave it alone for now. I've had them come loose before on the corners, I used a little weatherstrip adhesive to keep it in place. If you are careful it won't show.

It's even tougher to get the trim into a new weatherstrip. Not so bad on the corners but the long side pieces do take a little finesse to install without bending the trim.

I had the same problem when I replaced the hatch window weather strip. I bet I worked that corner piece for over an hour. I did finally get it to stay in, I had to bend the ends down a little bit in order for it to stay in the grove. Patience is definately a virtue.
As far as replaceing the window weather stripping, I agree with 2Many. Mine was so dry and cracked it leaked really bad when I bought the car, along with the hatch and doors.

do you know any places for replacement chrome bits if you bend them?
