some of us thought you may have more luck with a 180B unit rather than a 1200 unit.
I was just wondering if anyone knew if a Datsun 1200 Manual Pedal Box would be suitable for a 1974 240K?
I'm wanting to convert my Auto to a Manual, and I'm unsure if these pedals will fit. Are the pedal boxes from dirrerent Datsuns compatible?
Can they be modified to fit? I don't want to buy them and then realise they don't fit.
Any help or advice is appreciated.

I would ideally prefer to put a 240K pedal box in, but they are so hard to find, and there is currently what seems to be a 1200 pedal box on Ebay,

I'm not sure if I should bid or not, but if you think a 180B pedal box is better, maybe I'll wait to find one of those ( or of course a 240K pedal box.)

Just hold out for a Manual 240k wreck to come up,
either on ebay or Around the traps
Doesn't really look like that pedal box would fit, box and pedals are both quite a different shape
I trust your judgement Alfadog, I'll just wait till a 240K pedal box becomes available.
Cheers.
thats why i said it. wasnt something i was planning on taking it out, but if you need one, i will help a brother out

i have brought some hr31 stuff from him before
Thanks for the suggestion Nigel,
But my fabricating skills leave a lot to be desired. Plus wouldn't the brake pedal be larger if I'm using one from an Auto?, judging by the link Scott sent, the pedals from a manual car are both smaller. Are they easy to buy Scott? My Japanese is not good. Flauski, are you there??

Just another option i grab this pedal box of yahoo autions if you ever get desperate check on there

Just got the pedal box in the mail today,
Thanks Flauski, hopefully won't be too long till I see them in my car!
I've got a 5 speed 240K gearbox, clutch , flywheel, and clutch master cylinder. I think all I need now is a
Slave cylinder and the hose/wire? to join the slave cylinder to the master cylinder. I've seen some slave cylinders on Ebay, some look like they will bolt on to the side of my gearbox, but I have to make sure I get the right one. Anyone know which is the correct one?
try Repco or similar, that way you will get the right one to suit the 240K
you may find the price not much different than what you would pay on ebay, maybe..
"Slave cylinder and the hose/wire? to join the slave cylinder to the master cylinder."
It's a metal line from the master cylinder down to a a bracket near the stearing box, then a flex tube to the slave cylinder

Sorry to bump an old topic, but I didn't need to change my pedal box at all when I did a manual conversion in my 76 K Sedan.
Only thing I had to do was drill in the clutch stopper. Every other circlip and pin was there for me. I got sent a pedal and a spring..
