Chris was nice enough to send me a copy of this catalog earlier in the year; never thought to look here. Figured they'd be generic. Sure enough, looks like that's the header. Wish there were product reviews available from the early '70s; I imagine a good amount of engineering has happened in the past 40 years, but does anyone know if these things breath well enough?

Well, it depends on which BRE you're referring to: The BRE race team or BRE parts. The race team did build their own headers and some their design was then used by Internpart to make and sell the headers you see in the BRE Parts catalog.
