    Default Interior rust removal

Man, I'm just full of questions today.

    I LOVE THIS SITE!!

I need to remove pan rust as well as rust on other spots on the interior.

    1. What works best for removal (wire brush on drill or elbow grease)?

    2. Should I prime and paint after removal (entire interior or spot)?

    3. Should I install noise dampening material or OEM type padding
    before laying carpet?

    Default Thanx mperdue

All great answers to my problems. Perdue, might just do that, take a trip to Dallas that is. E-mail me with directions to your place sometime and we will make arrangements.

    Hi:

Answers from my experience (others may have different opinions):

    1. Wire brush on drill, unless you have the equipment, and like the mess that sandblasting will leave.

    2. POR-15 is IMO the best treatment to use in this area to ENSURE that no rust will come back. Do a search here, and on the web for more information on what it is, and how it works.

    3. Personal preference here. I am installing sound deadner "Q-Pads", then OEM type padding and carpet.
