nice stance! Love those extractors, did you get them made?
Hey guys. This is my 1976 Datsun 240k. Has spent the last year slowly getting some new stainless extractors and exhaust.
Currently getting some love with my brother to get it trucked up to FNQ.

Got them made in Brisbane with the ss exhaust. Haven't seen em in the flesh yet but very impressed from what I have seen.
mustard custard lives again, did brad do the exhaust?

is this john's old yonmeri?
yup, it lives on
Wanted: Hardtop interior pieces
sure is, he parted with it around this time last year, was a case of right place right time
So finally moved back to Brisbane area and had some time to work on the 240k.
When I came down, the car was running. Had to lend someone my pertronix setup for a few weeks, upon
reinstallation, the carbs started leaking, pulled them apart, cleaned them out but lost a washer somewhere. Tried
making a new one which worked for a little while until it backfired and then back to square one. Might need to rebuild them
again. While it wasn't running I decided to started pulling out the interior to inspect and clean. The car had been sitting for a while
previously and acquired a not so nice amount of rat poo and mud wasp nests in the heater system, dash, floor and glove box :s. So cleaned
as much as I could see and get too. Initially i was going to keep the car carbie but decided i wanted a bit reliability and have gone
down the efi path.
I ordered this a while ago through streeter
Got to dummying up the throttle body setup with the supplied manifold but ended up fouling on the headers.
So either the headers need modifying or possibly angling the manifold to help clear it. Still not sure the way to go, might even
be a combo of both. The manifold is pretty rough, so may end up having to get something longer.
Am planning on using megasquirt with a MSD 6AL. So ordered a kit and put it together. Still needs a bit of wire tidying.
Have sent away a L28 block for testing to see if its worth putting money into. Also ordered some new fuel lines,
surge tank and pump to keep it all flowing nicely.
Removed the fan and need to go to the wreckers and sort out a thermofan/shroud setup to suit.
My brother is sorting out getting a crank trigger made up that will bolt in directly.
Have pulled out the wiring loom in the engine bay to see if I can remove anything redundant and upgrade the wires to the headlights.
So am waiting on a few things, hopefully they arrive soonish so I can get the current engine running on the efi setup
Sweet setup!

We had some inspiration from your build Noddle. Getting the trigger laser cut so it should bolt up nicely. Really just waiting on the intake manifold situation. Umming whether i fork out for a canon/redline manifold or try persevere with what I have. Finding a decent manifold is proving tricky
If I was to do it again, I would put the "pickup" inside the fan belt loop
the way I did it, I would have to remove the pickup to replace the fan belt,
I have not had to do it yet, but i would make it easier ..
