Cleveland in 2008 is correct. They're preparing a web page with info, but it's so far off, there may be nothing to say for months.
I think there's a plan to go to Mid-Ohio for a day for track time. Maybe a trip to Cedar Point amusement park.
I'll be posting a link to the info page when there's something in concrete.
Will, i'll see you next summer probably. My gf lives off I-275 north off Tampa, & dad is south of the bay.
Today (this weekend) is the regional "Z Heritage meet" in Akron, OH.
thx

We have been planning things since months before the Daytona event, but there is so much to do. Keep an eye on the official website www.clevelandrockZ.com for the official details.
I can't tell you any details myself, but that we are working on some wonderful things that'll make it a year to remember!

If you want, I'll snd ya a copy of my MP3 CD. It has a collection called Monsters of Rock (like the commercial CD) with a bunch of quintissential rock songs from various notable groups. It's about 8 hours total.
there's 2 from VH in there.

Waaasssup guys
We had another planning meeting this weekend for next year's nationals. I can tell you that there is a day planned for hot-lapping at Mid-Ohio, a day of autocross, a Poker Run, sightseeing trips to the rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Football Hall of Fame, the science museum, a dinner cruise on Lake Erie, and other things to let you get the best of Cleveland, Ohio.
We are even connecting with a famous actor (think nissan 300ZX) to be there in person, some live rock music, and lots of great food & parts vendors!
The website for the Nationals is being updated with registration forms, including payment by PayPal, schedules, and all the rest of the details you'll need to know.
Start looking here to register your car for next summer!

Things are starting off slowly, as they should. As plans develop, they'll be easier to implement, and things will pick up.So far things are going without any hitches.
I expect everything to be ready by the end of next September.
Except my car, unless I win the MegaLotto.
BTW- I think I was referring to Chris, when I was thinking about getting together in FL when I was there.

I don't think the big green beastie will want to get out of its climate-controlled slumber, and besides, I just heard on the CB that there's a big pile-up on I-75 south of Cincinatti, OH, due to the snowstorm, let alone getting out of the 200-foot driveway!
And I just got a note from my gf in Tampa, that's it's a frosty 27F there this morning...
At least my Escort HAS heat.

Tomohawk,
Tape a picture of your girl friend over the center ventZ in your car, and you shouldn't need any...heat!
OK Tampa has gotten its token below freezing weather for the year-the 70z and 80z will be back before you get there anyway!
What were you thinking mentioning an Econobox(must less driving one) in a sports car forum-let alone a Z specific one-that is grounds to take your Z keyZ!

The car show& judging will be on that Tuesday, so tentative means that certain other things might shift a day forward or back.
You are welcome to give feedback to the event organizers, or you can host the convention yourself..![]()

Tomohawk,
I apologize that you felt the need to be smug in your reply, actually, the where and the when of the show doesn't affect my attendance, I'll be there and I won't waste my energy with feedback after the fact.
My grumbling is more about ignoring the opportunity to get some serious public Z awareness and participation that a weekend show would bring that a weekday show denies.
When my time comes, I'll just aim the show at being convenient to the largest number of people, cordially invite everyone, and actually make some new Z converts by allowing them access to what is effectively a closed event.
Will

If you know of anyone from Florida that's transporting via semi- let me know because I'm interested
For those who have procrastinated in getting registered, there already about 70 people signed up, and some of them have even paid!
So if you are interested in the judged show or hot-lapping, it would be advisable to get registered and pay up, because you might lose your spot, and the fees are helping to get great goodie-bag stuff, chartered busses, party food, and other great stuff!
thxZ

There's still plenty of room on the list for all you Z owners to come to Beautiful Cleveland, Ohio for the upcoming convention.
First of all, you save hundreds on your housing bill...
Remember that there'll be a full week of action, motoring events, parties & tech talks. You'll be seeing people from all over the U.S., Canada and some guys from Japan even!
There is a judged car show, but you don't have to have your car judged; you can just go there and check out all the other rides.
There's an arrangement with Mr K. to do a talk, and some other Nissan and Datsun- related people.
Don't wait until the last minute to get signed up! Are you planning on registering in-person when you get to Cleveland? It's better for you and the host club if you sign register online in advance- you'll be able to breeze through the check-in procedure when you first arrive. PLUS, you'll save yourself a LOT of time not having to register for the individual events during the week!

Will Mr. K be at the show? or will it be a telecast from Japan?
