Best parts are the girl(s). Trashy as she looks, she is far less so than the car...

This car is something....far to busy for my tastes, though I would give it a go round if I got to see it in person. 3000 miles and already tired of it-One oil change and it isn't the owners dream any more...I have absolutely no doubt that the seller is right when he states "NO OTHER LIKE IT AND THEY NEVER WILL BE", though I think the Primadonna Z is ten times the car and so much better looking.

A Z is beautiful from any angle, I just happen to prefer to view from the drivers' seat!

As trashy as this car looks, at least it doesn't have a retarded name like Primadonna...

Now, now, now.... It's not really that bad.
While I don't care for the stripes, and I wonder how useful the rear diffusers are (never mind that they look like a little step ladder), I do see where the builder was coming from.
You gotta admire the person's intent-clearly he/she was going for an IMSA car.
It would be interesting to know the history behind this build-were the panels hand made, or sourced from a retired/wrecked racer?
I do wonder why there are no photos of the engine or undercarriage? . Perhaps they're not as "showy" as the rest of the car, but it'd be nice to see them (as well as seeing if they'd been beefed up).

(disclaimer towards the two photos after #33; I've no idea if that is an actual race car. Heck, it could be the beginnings of the car this thread is about... )

And as an added bonus, I've included what I think is the wildest Z out there...

David, I think you hit it spot on. The two IMSA race cars you showed photos of, were popular enough that AFX-Aurora made Slot Car models out of them and featured them in several race track kits. Those same slot car bodies are still popular and in demand.

Unfortunately, the "collective" mindset is not allowed to see past the un-molested original bodystyle to the possibilities of design modifications.

I think both of them are about 20 years beyond their prime!!

    For me it's not a "purist" perspective. I just think it's pug-ugly...

    Just my opinion.

Case in point. My wife and I often attend the Hillsborough antique show. There are some who will pay ten's of thousands for something I consider to be abominable.
