I was browsing Vimeo.com and came across this video someone made of a 240z:

It's in HD (you need to turn it on with the HD button).
Just to reiterate: this is NOT MINE, I just found it
Enjoy

That is very well done. Car looks great in yellow!! I am suprised the camera man got behind the car for the burnout. Classic way to crack the camera lens from flying debris and if this is a true HD camera......![]()

He is on hybridz, username is RB240Z.
Found it by googling his name from the credits. The internet can be so creepy.

Nice.....I gotta go back to the garage now and and continue working on getting the Z back on the road. And I thought I was done for the night..![]()
Nice video.
At rally sprints, we used to put a professional SONY broadcast cam and Fujinon lens about a foot behind one of the rear wheels at the start of the gravel hill climb. It made for some fantastic television as you can imagine. To stop tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage, we built a frame with a slot in front which new thick lexan was dropped into. The frame was out of shot. Cost about $10 a start....one of the cheapest TV effects of the day.

Ha, just randomly found this thread cruising the forums late at night. My brother who is in film school made that video for my friend & I. He shot it with a Panasonic 1080p HD cam at 720p 24 frames per second. We actually shot most of it near Manassas airport in Prince William County, VA and in some industrial parks around there. It was mainly an exercise for all three of us to get an idea of how to film cars, what looks good and what doesn't so we will be prepared to make some badass HD videos of the track whore when its finished (hopefully this fall).
The owner is indeed RB240Z on hybridZ, him & I are currently working together on restoring/building a hardcore street/track '72 Z with a built L28ET.
Awesome. Would love to meet you guys sometime. My dad and I both live in Richmond.
There is a killer RB26TT powered Z here in Richmond![]()

Yeah, definitely. Ryan & I both will probably actively start attending some VA Z meets and stuff in the fall or next spring. Probably not meets down in Hampton/VA Beach but more Northern Virginia/MD/DC, Summit Point & VIR HPDE's/time attack events and probably any Richmond/Fredericksburg japanese classic car or big Z & nissan/datsun gatherings.
Hey guys, just wanted to thank everybody for the kind words regarding the car and the video! We're hoping to steal Tony's little brother again for some camera-duty once the turbo Z is no longer a project on jackstands!! I would love to get together with anybody here (and HybridZ) and make an all Z movie in HD. Something like "East Coast S30's" has a nice ring ;-)
I'm sure between track days, car shows and general datsun club gatherings, we could document some really cool rides and have fun doing it! At any rate, Tony and I will probably try to host a BBQ this fall and get some Z brethren together in the Nova area...if anybody here is interested, let me know and I'll keep up contact. Thanks again!
Any interest in a measly lil NA 200hp 510 video?????![]()
