Thanks Allan. Too bad I could not get down there.
Greetings from San Antonio ZCon09! Alan, I missed you Tuesday! WTF? I was looking forward to meeting you! Having a great time. Yes, the Stillen GT-R was here. Talked to Steve Millen for a long time. I didn't get a ride in the GT-R, but I DID get a couple of rides in the new 370Z NISMO. What a great car. The car show was hands down the best organized Z-car show I have ever been to. Very well done. I will upload pictures when I get home Saturday.
ZCon2010 will be in Nashville at the end of July. It's official. The car show will be Saturday at Nissan headquarters. Nissan is going to bring out some of the heritage cars from Zama. Plan now because the 40th anniversary of the Z is going to be a BIG celebration.
Enjoy the Ride

I don't remember the EXACT dates, but ZCON2010 begins on a Wednesday around July 28th? and the car show is Saturday, August 1? Check your calendar. The good word is that the car show is on a Saturday like you all have wanted for such a long time.
We are all about to sit down for the closing banquet. Mr. K is supposed to talk with us via Skype. Should be fun. Keeping with tradition, we went junk yarding this afternoon. Discovered a fairly complete April 1970 HLS30. I am coming home with a BUNCH of parts. Pic-N-Pull South San Antonio. Lots of early stuff still there.
I fly out in the morning. Will post pictures when I get home and have time to edit out the Hooter's (yes we sampled the local Hooter's) pictures. Such a great convention. I'm coming home with a second suitcase full of goodies. Still can't forget Amanda from the car show....

No, they were broken. But I didn't take the lids. They are still there. The hood is an early one. I got the front brake calipers - vented hat type.

Finally made it home! What a great week! Great convention. Let me get back to the 2010 convention for a moment and then I'll share my thoughts about ZCON09.
The ZCCA national convention 2010 is slated to begin Wednesday, July 28th and continue through Sunday, August 1st. The car show is Saturday, July 31st on the front lawn of Nissan headquarters. This convention will be a 40th anniversary celebration of the Z with Nissan. Nissan NA is talking about bringing ten "heritage cars" from Zama. The website should be up real soon - www.ZCON2010.com And Nissan's website is going to have information.
I'm starting tp post pictures in the gallery.

I was just having a discussion with my wife the other day about San Antonio and the fact that she is going there for a conference. She was asking if I wanted to go with her and I was thinking what could I do in SA and then I see this thread and I didn't even know about Z con. Too bad her conference is in Feb. 2010, it looks like a great show. I guess I could go and scavenge the junk yards for Z stuff while she was conferencing-she would be mortified![]()

Hi Guy,
I believe the junkyard was south west of the city. The partners in crime will have to give you the specifics as I wasn't paying that close attention because the boys were making me laugh so hard. Had to be there!
As for the Richmond show, they put on a fantastic one and it shouldn't be missed. Unfortunately I have a show the Saturday before in Reston with ZCCNV then I must leave early for Ball with the Cancer society. Doubt this ole girl can get up and play Z the next morning.
Keep a watch out for the rest of the photos, next is the track day and then this and that.![]()

Where will the 2010 National Z Car Convention be held?
Thanks, Just discovered it will be in Nashville.
I now have 200+ photos at the link below from the week of fun at ZCON09.
I am pretty much finished but will add at the end of the gallery pics of friends and pics from friends.
Hope you enjoy them!!!
Chris the shot of you staring at the models required a napkin to the corner of your mouth for clean up even on a digital file....go figure!!!

zlady,
Yes, they were very nice. Young. If I was 30 years younger, maybe.
But the love of my life is Amanda. Miss Bikini USA 2007 and Miss NOPI 2006 and 2007. We discussed doing a sort-of Hugh Hefner thing together as soon as I win the lottery. I told her I would text her from my game-boy as soon as I won.

Thanks for the laugh this morning....Whoops, I mean it's great you set goals. We all need them still.
When you win the lottery in 30 years.....they might invent a pill powerful enough and consistent enough for you to keep up with Amanda. Hell, every guys dream could be realized by then with becoming.....bionic.

Thanks everyone for all the great pics! Looks like a great time was had by all that attended, but it also looks like Chris had more fun than most!
I knew you guys would have fun! I wanted to be there so bad I could taste it!
This year with working on Larrys car, there was just no way.
I am already holding the time for next year!
Sweet that Nissan jumped in and put the car show where it should have been all along!
I'll be the first one signed up for next year!
WIll
A Z is beautiful from any angle, I just happen to prefer to view from the drivers' seat!
The car show will be Nissan's celebration - 40th anniversary of the Z. There is talk about bringing cars from Zama.
And thanks I DID have a good time!

Ditto!! I was looking for Z club members and asking the owners as I walked through the field if they were members here and if so who they were. Only ran in to two members, one is hardly ever on the site though he said, we did visit for a while about their ZXs (two couples both original owners of their ZX). I did spend a little time chatting with george71z also. All great people!
Chris, very disapointed I missed you...after the years of getting to know some of the people on here I was really looking forward to meeting as many as I could. Kinda bummed about that...still had a great time though.
Oh hey, did you see the table at the swap meet full of intakes, a head, header, wheels, etc? As long as that was there I was around...that was my stuff I was hoping to sell...unfortunately no sales.
