    Default MSA discount for CZCC

I have a large order (for me , anyway) pending with MSA. I was told I need a membership number to receive any discount. "Search" has not revealed an answer- or a number.

    Could someone enlighten me?

    Thanks.

It's shown in the URL in the address bar when you view your profile.

So in your case, the number is 23509.

    Arne,

Thank you for the quick reply!

It didn't occur to me to look in the url address bar.

Hi guys! Yes you will receive a discount. I used to have an easy way to find your member number but lost it with our latest upgrade. Glad you got the number!! And let us know if you got the discount. If you have any issues with the discount please send me a PM before you buy.

Once I gave it to MSA, they kept my number on file, and the discount was always automatic. I never had to ask for it.

It would have been useful to at least know about the discount and how to find it. I thought I remembered seeing that we get a discount at MSA but when I looked around the site I couldn't find any mention of it and figured that either I was mistaken or it was no longer offered. I don't know how large the discount was or is, but a 10% discount would have covered the shipping and then some on my last order.

Every website seems to have some quirk. This site doesn't provide it in your profile, MSA has no provision for adding your member number to your profile when registering... Not whining, just an observation.

I completed my order after a phone call to MSA revealed that you have to put your member number in the comment box- not the coupon/promo box. There was no reflection of a 10% discount in the total on the invoice after doing so.
    We'll see...

My order was nearly $600, so 10% will pay the shipping and for the $52. FPR I found online elsewhere.

I remember talking to one of the people at MSA and they added it to my profile so now that whenever I log in the discount is reflected.

    Default Club discount

Billing statement from Visa reflects that discount was applied to order- though it didn't show on the website invoice at time of order.

    Thanks MSA!

The membership number is no longer in the URL. Where can we find it now?

    Thanks,

Good question, Jim. The new forum software now hides the member number quite thoroughly. As Admin, I can look it up in the database, and yours is 21452. But I don't think I can do that as a routine thing for all users. It might get time-consuming!

Hi guys, I saw this coming and was able to make a change tonight. You can now find your member ID underneath your avatar on every post. Take a look to the left of my post here and you should see it.

I'm also trying to see if I can add it to the membership "about me" page. A bit of code hacking going on on this side of the screen...

Thanks Arne for my membership number. About to order some expensive parts and this will cover the shipping. And great job Mike for the quick change to the site to supply everyone the number.

Ok, since I'm an early riser today (jetlag), I was able to spend some more time on this. You can ALSO see your member number showing up when you click on "view profile"... Your member number will show up on the left column next to your avatar.

I've never received the discount as far as I am aware. I've always noted my membership in the comments, but not my #. They've never followed up to ask for a number, I wasn't aware it was needed.
Kind of bummed about that.. I've easily spent over $700 dollars with them this year, $300 this week alone.

On the profile page in MSA, where you enter shipping address, etc., there is a field "Customer Number" which is permanently kept. I've added my membership number there in the format: CZCC- #, and will add it to the Notes on the order. Someone else said you don't see the discount immediately on the invoice, but it shows up on your credit card. I'll see soon if it still works.

I've received the discount automatically for years now. I gave them my membership number to this site a few years ago.

The only place I've seen MSA mention a Z club discount is on the account logon page:

    https://www.thezstore.com/store/merc...n=LOGN&Order=0

"Note: Z Car Club members, please email the webmaster with your Z Club affiliation and membership number (must match the current membership list sent to us from your Club Officers), after you have created your Z Store account! Normally we will be able to complete the set up the following business day. Thanks!"

Does anyone know if MSA will still give you a discount on sale prices? I just ordered a lot of parts and was not aware we were entitled to a discount.

The last time I tried (many, many years ago) they said no extra discounts on sale items.

I don't mind not getting bonuses on sale items. I added my #CZCC to my profile. Wont get me my $70-80 bucks back or whatever it adds up to but I'm sure I'll do plenty of business with them in the future, hopefully they apply it.

I spoke to MSA today. They stated that the club discount is approximately 10% on most items. It may be a little more or a less depending on the part being ordered. They said if you order something on sale, you would get the lower price of the two, for exemple if an item is on sale for 20% off their regular price that is the price you would be invoiced since it is a better discount than the club 10% discount.

They also confirmed that this discount will apply only to new orders going forward once they have your club number on file. They will not go back and apply the discount for previous orders that have already been invoiced.
