Default Katie's Cars & Coffee - Great Falls, VA

This morning, Jason, Bill and I drove out to Great Falls for Katie's Cars & Coffee. It was good morning and great to have three 240Z's there, along with an eclectic assortment of cars.

Thanks for Posting, Sean. Your put my cars to shame, I heard one guy make a comment about the shoddy paint on the White/Green cars, and we ought to take a page out of your book.

Bill - You're too kind. I'm fortunate that my car has never really been off the road and the paint I had done in 1996 has held up so well. I'm incredibly impressed with the extensive work you and Jason have already done on your Z's. Don't take other's criticism too seriously. They don't know how far you've come. You'll get there.

Fred and Bill joined me at KC&C this morning. A red E-Type Jag parked next to my Z. In my opinion two of the best looking cars from the late 60's early 70's.

    ^^^^ THAT!!!! ^^^^

That's probably the most awesome car I've ever seen! Even better than the Morgan!
My last three sports cars while I still owned all three:

    1966 Ford Mustang Coupe (sold)

Yesterday at Katie's, a guy spoke to me about my car for about 10 minutes. He said that he had owned five or six Z's over the years and that he'd like to buy my 240Z, with cash, today. I told him that I'd had my Z for 23yrs (my first car) and would never consider selling it. That said, I was curious what his first offer would be if we were to negotiate its sale. He told me his opening offer would be $15,000.
I've often had people ask me if I'd consider selling my Z. This was the first time I've had anyone put a dollar figure to an offer. Any others, had similar encounters?

    Sean,

Great pictures... Thanks for posting.... Your car looks amazing, along with the rest.

I wish there were something like this around here in the Seattle area.... but it's mostly the younger crowd (at least compared to me) with the Honda's, Suburu's around here. I'm pretty envious... Keep posting if you can.... these pictures are fun to see.
