This is wonderful news!!!!
I have been wanting to get some new front and rear bumpers without the holes drilled for the overrider bars!!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that I spotted a post on 510Realm this morning (I'm an equal Datsun opportunity guy) from Dave Patton at Futofab regarding an announcement of more 510 body parts coming available, and the good part (who cares about 510's anyway?), the beginnings of a line of Z products!
The 510 Realm - View topic - FutoFab Introduces Steel 510 Body Parts
This is the list items he currently has on route from his manufacturer.
Datsun 240Z parts:
• 240Z Tail light assemblies, JDM style w/ amber directional, includes trim, bulb sockets and wiring harness - $495/set
• 240Z F&R Bumpers, chrome, (70-72) - $360/ea
• 240Z F&R Bumpers, black powder coat, (70-72) - $240/ea
• 240Z front bumper brackets (70-72) - $54/pr
He has a huge line of 510 body parts (not just fenders!) and knows the Z world needs the same stuff, so he got started in what he thought were the highest demand items.
He has the supply chain, and has real 510 products in hand that he can't keep on the shelf.
He has been totally responsive to the 510 community in getting what they want to market. I know he will do the same for us, all we have to do is ask! So Ask!

Bumpers? Cool!
I need a new rear center section, and my neighbor's Z could use a new front.

Both of those pieces look fantastic, and for a really good price to boot. Nicely done, Dave!

Not trying to thread bash. But they're currently selling euro style taillights on ebay from Japan for 299.
To give some validity to your assertion that you're not thread bashing, you should also mention that those are blemished items, discussed here just yesterday and that the good ones that Esprit is selling are comparatively priced to Futo's

A little added info on the FutoFab 240Z tail lights.
The text should read JDM style not spec. These tail lights are made specifically for use in USDM cars. They include the amber directional lens and the bulb, socket and wiring for the JDM "street light", but the street light is not connected into the harness plug.
If these were true JDM spec, the "street light" would be hard wired into a 6 prong plug.
Our tail lights have a 4 prong plug for a direct connection into the USDM wiring.
In reality they are a hybrid, JDM appearance with plug-n-play convenience for US market 240Z's.
edit - Here are pics of the 4 prong plug on our tail lights and one with the OE 4 prong cut from our '71 parts car installed.

What we have for $438 is the exact same lights that they offer.
We get them from Taiwan. Aslo their bumper are made in Taiwan, the same bumper the Black Dragon offers.
Taiwan company is getting more serious about 510 body parts making them.

esprist,
I cannot say that what you are promoting here is the "exact same light" as what FutoFab sells. Doesn't the wiring plug on your light have 6 prongs for a JDM wiring harness? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
What I can say is the FutoFab tail light is set-up for US market wiring without needing the harness end rewired or the plug altered to fit a US market car.

I have held both the bumpers and taillights in my own hands and they are just flat out beautiful.
Without trying to sound too creepy, I lusted after those lights and was thinking of building a piece of wall art using the cut off rear section of a 240. Would I be allowed to hang it in the house? Not likely.
if a little knowledge can make you dangerous, I'm a little dangerous
Interesting Idea on wall art! I was thinking of restoring a 240Z dash and hanging it on the wall complete with a plug in adapter that would light up the meters. Or maybe clean up a spare set of tail lights I have and put lights in them.
The lamps are the exact same products is what I meant. We carry 3 different ones. We own mold for one. We decided to carry all of them and explain to customer what the differences are.
Is your wiring plug-in-play for US cars without getting a hot wire from hazard light so that all the lights work with hazard?
If so, very cool update!
Cheers,

The tail lights FutoFab has are wired exactly the same as the OE US spec lights.
The lights I've pictured above were sent to us a few months back for testing, fitting and inspection. Our parts/test car did not have a functional electrical system but did have complete OE tail lights.
The tail lights were pulled from the car and the wiring was painstakingly compared wire by wire for both color and pathway. The wiring on the new lights is exactly the same as the US lights we compared them to.
So that being said I am 100% confident these lights will functional exactly as the OE ones do without need for any rewiring.
Dave, bud, you are about to make me a very poor person...
I want me one of those front and rear bumpers. You will be hearing from me very soon.
