This is a very nice example and I hope it commands a fair price!
I have to say that I am disappointed and not surprised by some of the negative comments. There is significant amount of nitpicking...

I would have bought the car just so I could put those front bumper guards right side up.
I'm sorry to hear of Enrique's passing. My thoughs and best wishes go out to his family.
Though I never met him personally, we probably contributed on a few of Z car threads over the years. ...

I live in Lompoc and on my 5th 240Z.
I see about a half dozen 240Z and 280Z cars in town.
Merry Christmas to all and best hopes for a great 2013!
The new year will start on a good note for us California classic and vintage car owners:

Can you also ask about the mysterious vanishing choke handle
Some of the interior shots show the choke handle missing, then it makes an appearence.
Thanks for the information.
That is a wonderful example and the right color too :)
I hope this question will not be taken as being nitpicky, but rather trying to get my facts straight.
Is the rear muffler on the vehicle...
I have a few shots of my car in the gallery. Albeit, nothing newer than a decade ago. I still have the car sitting on blocks waiting for retirement to come alon so I can start restoring it.

One data point that might be useful is to use the Advanced search feature on ebay and select Completed auctions as one of your search criteria.
Thicker steel for the body and 20 more stock horsepower. Styled steel wheels or mags with fatter, lower profile tires to finish it off.
Best wishes and hope you drop in more often than I do to check on things.
If you decide to go with a 2nd Generation MR2 or 1988 Honda Magna, I may see you on another forum...
Interesting car, but IMHO a 30K price range would be more realistic. A Datsun Z Car with a V-8 is not in the same collector/price category as a say a Boss 429 or Hemi Cuda.
Tracking down a European E41 balance tube would make a clean set up.

you might want to try Courtesy Parts in Texas.

I was able to purchase a complete NOS exhaust system from the manifold back. Albeit that was a couple of years ago.

The original rear panel rivets are plastic. Most likely, the previous owner removed and replaced the panel and opted to go with aluminum pop rivets.
You still might be able to order them.
The rivets pictured on top are the for the taillight panel, and the one below are your standard interior rivets.
