Welcome Wick,
I hope you're re-united with your zed.
Without your book I would have wasted countless hours over the years.
I see Alan is manoeuvring for an International version of the bible.....;)
Sorry, Can't help you.
Does it start and run?
Yes, you can really drive it.
In conjunction with the alternator relay (IIRC), it forms a simple logic circuit that controls the fuel pump on start up.
Originally designed to stop flooding the...

Yes, drive it by all means.
It won't fall out of the sky!
This is great !
Like discovering a long lost treasure. Thank you.
Can anyone shed any further light on these, there is no mention in the FSM about them ?
The original struts didn't have "inserts".
The FSM gives instructions on rebuilding them, but to my knowledge no one ever did, rather replacing them with after market inserts.
For histories sake,...
If your using a compressor, you only have 2 solutions. The inline filter you already have or an air drying system, which for a one off paint job is going to work our very very expensive.
Have you...
OK, can't help any further.
Good luck...
Have you checked the fuel pressure at the carbs?
All the ballast resistor does is to limit voltage to the coil after start up.
The intention is to drop coil voltage to 8-10 volts (someone will correct me on this as I'm writing off the top of my...
But it could be fuel delivery.
Fuel pump, restriction in pipe before carbs etc.
If your fuel pump can't keep up then you're going to starve of fuel.
I didn't think there was an advantage, they where just a stepping stone to "reluctor" style distributor's.
In any case, they didn't hang around for long, just like flat tops.
Little point in...

A question was asked about 2 badges that where...
I'd like to get pic's of those badges and find out the history of the events.
I'll open a thread in History with pic's & history of of my endeavours and badges (not many).
Hopefully others will...
It's a badge that's earn't generally for the vehicle by virtue of it entering & finishing a Rally.
They are held in high value by Rally crews as the event would be a highly regarded rally.
Event...
You should have been "true" to the Zed cause and used the rear of a S-30.......LOL
zedrally shakes head in disbelief.
I can't believe someone would do this....
scotauto, I hope you can find the parts you need to return the "rear" to original.
If it was only a Datsun that they where oiling... !
Have to agree with Zed Head, unless you're looking at from the Citroen Car Club point of view... o..la..la...
Of course it hurts, it's thinking Hollies...LOL
Is this an amp or voltage gauge?

Search for G Nose on this site.
Somewhere I remember reading that the voltmeter was actually a "Battery Condition" meter.
Hence the coloured segments on the scale.
Easiest method of turning it off is to detach the +ve battery lead.
Very counter-productive though. Best leave it as use it as it was design for.
