Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. The body on the car is really why I am asking 2500. There is a lot of work to be done but it is doable. If I don't get what I feel is a fair price I may...
The unfortunate time and circumstances have come which dictate the separation of me from my z. Here is a link to the ad. 1972 Datsun (Nissan) 240 Z If I was not suppose to post here, I am...
Please! more pictures!!! :classic:
Where did you purchase the extruded aluminum tubing? I was thinking of something like this but had not seen it done on non-fuel injected engines before. ( I...
Zedyone...I really like how you set that up. I for one would like to hear more details on the fuel rail!!! That looks sweeeeeeet!
The "camber issues" could be that someone replaced the rear struts with those of a 280z which are taller than the 240's. That is what the PO did on mine. Why I don't know but....
How do you like it? Good reception? A full product review is needed please;)
I have a spare '72 tank that has a couple of small holes in it and the fuel supply and return fittings on it are in real bad shape I was going to see if I could somehow repair it and have a "good"...
There was a thread over at hybridz.org where there is an aluminum tank available. They are made to order and fit with stock mounting points. If I remember right the price was around $600. not cheap...

All that I did was replace the points with the optical components included with the ignition system and replaced my stock coil with the Crane PS91 coil. Followed the instructions including the ones...
I couldn't be happier with performance. The car starts easier, virtually no maintenance. What more could you ask for? The XR3000 replaces the points in the stock distributor with an optical unit. If...
I just tried to search for my write up and couldn't find it. Maybe it got lost when the site changed over... I don't know if I can find a backup of it on my computer some where. I'll see if I can.
I installed the Crane XR3000 electronic ignition in my 72 a few years ago and did a write up on it, and still no issues after several years. Do a search for " Crane Ignition" and it should be there.
When were you stationed at Misawa? I was there from 1985-1987.
The engine number on the strut tower ID plate should match the engine number stamped on the block right after the L24-. It is stamped on the right side near the oil filter
What type of wheels are these as well as the offsets? Please????
He's got a great writeup on the build over at hybridz!!! IF i don't keep with the nissan motor, his car is my inspiration. VERY WELL DONE. if you like that sort of thing
When I installed the Crane ignition (XR3000 with PS91 Coil) in my 72, I was instructed to jumper the ballast resistor. I have not had any issues since I installed it a few years ago. I hope you get...
I am very interested in how that works out Arne. Please keep us updated!!!
