You could try protecting areas you don't want effected by welding spatter with dampened bath towels. This has worked for me before.
There's an mr2 of about that age in the background of photo #6
I did temporarily "lose" my z in a big car park once, it was hiding between two modern cars...
great video;)
My gauge can give some fairly low readings as well.I'll get around to ordering a new sender one day. I have a mechanical gauge that I fit every so often and check the oil pressure under driving...
Hi,
I usually get all sorts of attention when out in the z, smiles, waves ,a friendly pat on the roof and comment "nice old car mate"by a cop as he handed me my speeding ticket, and an amusing...
Today I carefully filed/lapped the oil filler neck, so that when it is screwed in,the word "oil" on the filler cap lines up with the words "nissan ohc" on the rocker cover....
looking forward to seeing this Brian
I think we should mark this occasion with a holiday:)

I've had #37 for a few years, #36 just randomly popped up for sale.Been repainted but otherwise nice and original, still on the same motor.Needs a few small jobs doing, but ready to drive and enjoy.
I just bought a second 260z, I now have RS30000036 and RS30000037:)
Yes, As another nz based customer I've never had any problem with them, the only problems I've had are with the local couriers. 2 days from LA, then 4 days to make a 20 minute journey to my house!!!!...
Thanks all,
I'll give them a try.:)
Hi,
I am thinking of getting some parts from "New datsun parts" (carl jaeger)
Has anyone had dealings with this company? Any good?
Mine is big sam, named kind of tongue in cheek after the famous race car.I have a personalised plate BIGSAM.LOL
yes those would fit my 260z. send them on down;)
I did have a stewart warner pump that a po had got from msa. This one sounded quite good,a kind of rhythmic "clonkclonk clonkclonk clonkclonk".that increased in speed as the car did.
I have a holley fuelpump in my 74 260, its rubber mounted on "cotton reel" insulators and still sounds like somebody trying to saw the back of the car off!
