Welcome to the club, this site has a lot of great info to help you with your restoration.
In 1985 as a high school graduation gift, my dad was going to buy me my first car. He mentioned that a guy was selling his Datsun 240Z and was bringing it to our house so we could test drive it. I...
Awesome looking Z!
I bought mine in 2003 for $5,000. It is 99% rust free and has been very dependable. As for what is too much money for a Z car, that depends on what you feel it is worth - shop around, you will get...
Beautiful car - enjoy!
Second the MT90 - it helped mine shift smoother.
I don't think you can remove an old one without removing the dashboard. My glove box was originally in rough shape, so I just ripped it out and replaced it with a new one. The new one had to be bent...
Prices for very good condition 240Z's is going up. Prices for low VIN's are going up. Prices for crap, staying about the same, IMO
That price range is a little low for a car that will be a good daily driver. Most $2,500 240Z's have a nice amount of rust and other issues.:ermm:

Hi Guys,
Checking eBay for "deals" and came across this seller - made me laugh:laugh:

Hi guys -appreciate the info and link.
Does anyone have pictures showing the difference between the 70-72 steering column covers and the '73 steering column cover? I am just curious as to how they compare. Thanks!
No problem, glad you found a battery. I have switched to the Optima red top battery since I autox the car and I didn't want to have to worry about acid spilling out and rusting out the battery...
Group 24 should be the size.
Welcome back to the Z community - you will find lots of great information here for your restoration.
Mike, it was nice meeting you at the event! Nice photos, but I think you are definitely missing one - I thought for sure you would have caught a picture of the model working the Vertical Door booth!!...
I got mine last year at Steeringstore.com - can't remember the price, but nowhere near the prices listed above. The rack was a remanufactured - I have been happy with it.
Give Jeff a call at Nisstech
I have been going to them for years - they do great work and they are really nice guys.
The reproductions don't look as nice as the originals, imo
It is an awesome issue, highly recommend it to others!
I have the Tokico Illuminas and springs - lowers the car about the same as the ST springs I replaced. The ride is very tolerable on settings 1 or 2 for street driving (our roads are not the best...
