Beauty is in the eye's of the beholder.
Chas just beat me to my next question. Was getting ready to ask how old it was. In your first post I assumed you replaced it until you verified in post #4 it was not.
Post what fixes it gacksen.
I just checked my master to verify things and I get a slight movement in level, and I mean slight. If you are getting the 1/4" like you say then you have air still in the system. Sorry to sound...
Should be steady that's why I say you still have air in the system. Worse case...bleed everything again. Anything you "cracked open" bleed again. You introduced air into the system somewhere,...
Also sounds like you might still have air in the back brakes. Re-bleed those as well. What you are describing is air still trapped in the system.
1st thing I would do is re-bleed the master / "tandem master". Im not sure why you bled it to begin with unless you replaced that as well. If so, it should have been bench bled.
Did you install...
I would make sure the one from rockauto is complete, with module. Not saying it isn't but I would double check. Rockauto has been good to me.
Amazing job Haz! Did you use the gunmetal spray from SEM? Its what I used and then I sprayed them with a satin clear also from SEM.
Amazing what a little polish and a buffing wheel will do! Those...
I used to own one of those cars back in the early 80's. Non turbo though. Still was a fun car to drive.
Hey Gus, have you done any color sanding and buffing yet?
I started sanding the stock hood I have for my Z and its a lot of work! If these things were plentiful I would have scrapped this one...
Yeah thats the one I ordered, 22660-45P00. Found it used on ebay for $28. Will open it up for a peek. Will clean it if necessary.
I may order one just to check it out....how it performs. Is it really better or not. Curious minds need to know.
Post #6 you state the car has a "big" cam in it. And that it idles rich.
Post #14 says you are running stock cam.
What am I missing?
And my Z has that "new routing". I believe it was changed in 4/77 and mine is a 5/77. I never have any "clogging" issues or anything interfering with operations.
Ah yes, I see Canada now, thanks.
...
Hmm....I never had to do anything to my AAR. It works perfect, period. Junk yard find was probably 15 years ago so it is original equipment. Besides the fact I have an extra original one in the...
Not sure how it can work "better". I have an original style and it works correctly. Junk yard $2 find.
As Capt said, wont work right the way you want to install it.
Sweet! take some video of her running. Must not have smog laws in Idaho?
Okay, I found it. Forgot about Blackdragonauto. They had it.
Anybody now where I might find the "window felt" that attaches to the inside top of the interior door panel? It's the felt that keeps scratches from forming on the inside glass. Thx
Hey Joel, great progress man! I have to get down there soon to visit you. But before I can drive my Z I have to bend a new brake line for the right front. I was in the process of installing my steel...
What offset on the rims, 0?
That is what I used to run for tires. Then I decided to run the 225/50-16 up front.
The dash caps have to be worked to make fit right. There are a few threads on...
I figured that's what you were referring to. Makes total sense. It's that "period correct" status that means everything to the "purist". So they would be worth more than gold or diamonds to the right...
But they are not "right".....
Meaning what exactly? Just curious.
Replaced 20 year old ball joints and outer tie rod ends on my 77. Fairly easy. But found that both of my ball joints castle nuts were barely tight. Just beyond finger tight. Had to adjust toe out on...
But rebuilt/refreshed are better correct?
