ok will do. this may sound dumb but how or like i guess where should i connect the ohm meter to the alt to check for resistance on the alt? well its a multimeter i should restate that.

Alright, ive installed the 280zx dizzy. It starts and runs and sounds pretty good. I followed the wiring from this where it talks about getting the tachometer to work with early z's....

I would install that with my current ballast correct? to give it the correct ohms. no I would replace it.
