what colour is that? looks like aqua from the photos
hey guys,
i am lookin at getting rid of my project car at the moment, would be a good little thrash around car, or a good start to a project. But at the moment it's just sitting out the front of my house taking up to much space.
It runs, it's registered til November i think (i'll check tomorrow) and i only want $500 for it. The interior is almost completely striped out, but i still have the original seats and door trims so they can be put back in.
here are a couple of pics...
before i got bored and painted racing stripes on it
and after the airbrush hit it
the car needs a bit of rust repair and repainting anyways, but i figured i'd give it a bit of characterit also has a race seat in it at the moment which is NOT for sale
ok thanks, pm me to let me know if anyone is interested
what colour is that? looks like aqua from the photos

as good as sold at the moment guys, just waiting on payment and transport arrangements, but if it doesnt go through and is still for sale i'll let people know.
thanks everyone![]()
hehe nice quick sale thats the way it should be![]()
looks like a fair beast for $500
yeah, i like quick and easy, coulda tried to get more for it but i would've had to wait longer for a buyer, and selling it through here it's probably goin to a good home and wont get scraped.
ANY car that runs is pretty much a good buy at $500 these days![]()
I hope to buy this car but how can i buy it from kuwait and how much the car by kuwait Dinar then how can i pay it and send this car to kuwait ...???
(( took to me in my e-mail salah_al-bahar@hotmail.com ))

yup you probably did see it down the back of Holdens, coz i work there, but as Mr Camo said, it's sold, he would know he bought it![]()
i'd just remind any yanks (who are not stationed overseas) to think again before they privately importing a car
besides extra and unforseen costs, there is a good chance of losing interest or running out of funds between the time you make the decision to import and by the time you actually get it
...and also then Matt's car wouldn't be so rare!!![]()
i never thought of that ...![]()
seriously, i'm no longer shocked when i hear of another jap import changing hands
guys seem to think they're the greatest thing initially, then reality dawns on them and they're like "what?! i've got to get rid of this thing"
Yes, It's cool to own a RHD one-of a-kind car in the states. Then, when something breaks and you have to find non-existant parts . . . I am already thinking about that, and the car is still in JAPAN! You really have to be a car-nut to endure these things . . . .

but isn't that part of the reason we love them? what is the fun of being able to pick up a part easily from a near by wreckers.. when instead, you can draw on a small pool of resources worldwide!

well, only we who live on the fringe of datsundom are willing to put in the extra effort (we get off on it)
check out this butaketsu on ebay. after investing all that time and money to get it, then losing interest. sad.

it's a shame they couldn't write "JDM" a few more times.. i wasn't quite sure whether it was actually JDM or not

calm down Mr Camouflage, its all good. i work at holden aswell, pity i didn't catch you earlier, what plant do you work in? i'm in plant 4 on day shift
what's the plan for the car Mr Camouflage?![]()
Matt,
No, that car's the object of someone's desire to make money off RHD starved Americans. The guy in Japan who had it probably sold it to a car dealer who then took it to the auction house. He didn't lose interest, he just got interested in something else. I'd bet he only got 3-4 thousand frrom the dealer.
The importers, however, are asking too much money for a car that's not even popular. Would you pay 20 grand for a 30 year-old car that doesn't have the pedigree like a Skyline or Z? Believe me, if you think parts for the C110 is hard to come by, parts for that car are almost non-existent.

Hey Dafunkist, I wasn't trying to be rude, just trying to say the car was sold without letting everyone know I bought it, but I guess the cats out of the bag now.
Plans for the car, hmm, fix the rust, some gtr spoilers and flares would be good.

That Laurel is owned by Idaho Speed. They have made somewhat of a name for themselves by tuning Skylines here in the U.S. They even own 2 or 3 legal ones. I have spoken with the owner a couple of times. He had tried to buy my Hakosuka. It did not happen, obviously, because he tried to lowball me, bigtime. He did everything he could to convince me that my car was not all that valuable and that he could easily get one out of Japan with his contacts. After 30 minutes of hearing his pitch, I politely declined and wished him the best of luck in getting one in his price range. Funny that here he is now hawking a car that is no cleaner than mine, not to mention far less desirable, for this kind of cash. For $20k U.S., you can get an awsome GT-R clone. My bet is that this is what he is trying to do. Each person I have discussed selling my car to have all ended up saying they are just going to get one themselves and copy my car. This guy actually alluded to being able to out spend me and thus exceed my car. Maybe so. But then again the last 3 guys that have said this are no where to be seen. Not that I should take too much pride in it, but few people seem to be as........what is the word? I like determined, my wife would say stupid, to take on this type of project. And you guys should have seen the look she gave me when I decided to buy Kents car. But I digress. Back to the subject at hand, I agree with Miles completely. This guy is hoping to cash in big time on "JDM" hype. This is the third time the car has been on E-bay too. I think he might be realizing that this car will never bring more than $5-$6K. I have seen a couple of Hakosukas in better trim only go for $15k here. And they took a while to sell. People here are odd, they want rare cars, but they refuse to pay accordingly for them. And if no one will give $20K for a KGC10, what hope does this car have?
Brian
If it's not a Nissan, it's not worth owning.
i must say, as soon as i saw that laurel, i didn't like it.. the first thing i thought of was a charger clone..
It certainly wouldn't hold a candle near your C10 brian!

Obviously, I was wrong. I just checked Car Sensor and Yahoo Auctions and this ugly Laurel is selling for roughly $12,500. And they're not wide body flared types either. Just stockers with rims and triple webbers. Maybe there is a market after all . . . . .
