1. There should be a huge circular hole on the firewall.
It is adjacent the re-enforcing panel for the pedal box, near the inner guard.
2. the connector slides sideways over the flat head section of the "T".
I have two questions that you guys no doubt can help me with:
Car: 1972 240Z
1. How does the wiring harness get routed inside the the car
on the passenger side ? Is it routed through the rocker ?
The car has been gutted except for the dash. I am looking
for strategy for co-existence with the sound deadener.
2. Does anybody have experience with the Gas Tank sending unit
electrical connectors ? The 240 has a T shaped connect post
on the sending unit.
The rubber around the connector is old an stiff. How do you
get the connector re-attached to the sending unit ?
Thanks, Jay

There are connectors at the firewall for the wiring harness that runs to the back of
the car through the passenger side of the interior. Does the wiring harness just float inside the car ?

There should be clips that anchor the wires to the floor next to the rocker panel past the seat and then through a hole into the quarter panel. A couple of the wires go up to the dome light and rear window defogger. The rest fit into clips along the quarter panel even with the door opening.

Bought my 70Z at 21 with 24,000 miles
Still own it. Thirty plus years later.
I had the rocker panels replaced by a Body Shop over the space of 2.5 years.
I gave up on the body shop.... Now I am doing the rest by myself.
So I guess I am missing some clips to attach the harness to the rocker where the floor meets the rocker.
