I like them. I've got dibs on a 4 door c210 near me one owner. You can still make them look tough as with flares etc and the running gear is similar

IMO the only difference is its more boxy looking

As it was being loaded up on the tow truck the bloke told me its destination Kuwait but the $800 I sold it for bought the new 240k that rolled into the garage two hours after the rusted out one went :P

So really I was happy for it to go anywhere bar the wreckers. Speaking of which I know of a c210 in good condition near where I picked up the rust bucket.

I would say that i hope it doesn't effect the prices on parts, but really parts have been quite scarce for a while now! i just hope when it comes time to put mine all back together i am not missing a box of pieces

I rang up about the red one that went for $10k in melbourne but it went the following morning with the first one to look at it. After getting $10k he said he knew someone else that would sell theirs for the same price. Too much for me so will keep looking. Bought a 180 sss coupe to keep me going

Hard to tell exactly how bad (or good) it is really...seller is in SA (he's chasing them, has a wanted ad on Gumtree too), car is in Qld, so it's obviously someone who's called him up. Asking $4,500 now. Not as stupid as the sedan for $6,500 on Gumtree currently. Looks like they'll all be going overseas at this rate, no-one can afford them!

Interesting that a couple 'reasonable' cars have been listed for correspondingly high prices and no-one has touched them. Seems a project can pull $5-7k, but a good one can't pull $15-20k!

The bottom of the guards, sills and qtrs look bad. Don't even start on the boot. The underside is a huge unknown and needs to be checked. It's been rest payed I think and there's rest coming out from around both front and rear screens. Still...

Couple of new coupes on ebay this week. White one looks good and has gtr bits to go with it. Seller has been pestered with buy in now price emails, so said he would tak offeres over 30K for it. Hopefully he lets the auction run so we can see what sort of bids it attracts.

Other one is a silver coupe with horrible flares (IMHO). Already been messed around by a dreamer and had to relist it.

Is the silver one really that over priced? I mean as a sum of its parts things I think 9K isn't too far off. It looks to be a solid coupe base to start with. As for parts, it has spare grilles and a front spoiler that come with it, JDM tail lights (which the white one doesn't), skyline badging, even the interior has the correct steering wheel. I would remove the front guards and replace them with something more subtle, but I don't think the rears are that bad. I'm a sucker for the 3 piece rear spoilers, and I'm intrigued by the chrome trim on the rear quarters, perhaps a vinyl roof car? And those SSR MK2's? I think you could safely say it's sitting on $2K of rim right there. Personally, I'm surprised it hasn't been snapped up already. My guess is that it's harbouring some serious rust that the seller hasn't mentioned, that or our UAE buddies really prefer sedans.

This seller has a bit of a history of listing and cancelling auctions for 240Ks', some of the older members would remember
a brown coupe back in 2006 & 2007 that was the subject of great debate then as to how often it was listed then re-listed.
Interesting as its a "private" auction, so you can't see the identities of the bidders (if you know what I mean)

Yeah, I wondered if it was the same guy. I couldn't recall his ebay name. I remember the bronze coupe he had. IIRC he got it cheap, and was trying to make a big profit flipping it on ebay. He'd cancel the listing on the last day if the price hadn't reached his expected price (even though he didn't have an ebay reserve set).
