i'll be there friday and saturday... but without the z.![]()
Anyone plan on attending? I'm hoping I can see lots of 240z's there and get firedup to get my project going full steam. Maybe even get my first ride in one. It's been two years of ownership and I haven't even put the engine in. Gotta keepthe dream alive.

I'll look forward to getting a peak at a race prepped Z. I'm sure I'll find the re-engineering fascinating. I am always curious about how to make a Z faster and handle better. Safe travels gnosez hopefully I get to meet you there.
I haven't decided if I'm going yet or not. I'd like to go, but I've got a time conflict with another car show that might make it impossible for me.
FYI, Here's Carlisle's site for the event:
Import & Kit Nats
Still hoping to go, but don't know yet...
John,
What size wheels are on that Z? I have a set of similar BBS-RS 15" that are 12" wide.
I need an outer lip 6-5/8" to make a set as 1 is missing a chunk o' aluminum.

Grant83 - whether Z or not there are several ways to make a car faster - more HP, lose weight, suspension set-up, tires and most important of all, a fast driver. I am semi-fast.
Blue - during vintage events we are required to run 15X7 so it's 225 all around and a double set of wheel spacers in the back. Still looks like crap. The ones in the rear in the photo are 15X10 and you can get a replacement inner or outer lip, those special bolts and o-rings from (okay, I'm having a senior moment)....I will look in my extensive invoice file later today and report back.

Looks like I have a green light from the boss. I'll be there in my green 240z. It's about a 2hr drive for me from McLean, VA so I should arrive between 0800-0900hrs.
who's going for friday vs. saturday vs. sunday..? now i'm thinking it might be worth a trip to raleigh to bring the car up for the weekend. lotsa driving, but driving is gOod.![]()

John Coffey was a strong advocate of the wider front stance but it's not allowed in vintage. As to the same all around tire sizes, when I asked Bob Sharp if he could only drive one of the Zs which one would it be, he choose the 260 with the 15 inch wide rears. That's 30 inches of R compound Goodyear to let you hook up quicker coming out of a turn and the ability to throw it harder in the turn knowing it would stick.

From my experience, the typical "big day" is Saturday.
Also when you register, there is a spot for your club affiliation on the registration form. Is there one club that is kinda "hosting" the Z's at the show? Last year, there was a club there (from New England maybe?) that had asked for everyone to put them down for club affiliation, and I believe there are some benefits to all of us to having everyone register with the same organization.
So... After all that, question is... Anyone know if there is a club "hosting" Z's at Carlisle? Who should we list as our club when we register for the show?

Register under ECZN (East Coast Z Nationals). The more people who register the bigger the club tent we get. I'll be there with 5 vendor spaces of almost all Z parts. I'm also bringing my Pantera and 240Z race car to show. I'll be there tonight through Sunday. There's an auto-x on site for those who want to try some racing. Sign up early because it fills up fast! I'll be tied up at my vendor spaces so stop in and say hi!

I'll be there Friday - Sunday! 1972 NC tag on a lime green '72.
So any post show reports? I had to leave early because of competing car shows, but I was able to hook up with Sean240Z while there. We figured out that we were both forum members, but that was the only confirmed link I made.
I did also talk a bunch with two owners with white interiors, but didn't figure out if they were forum members or not. Next year we need nametags or something...
