Unbelievable wheel and polish, to me

I paid a 71 year young man to polish this 42 year old paint. It's not perfect by any stretch of that word but WOW! Slick as a button and I won't have to get it painted for many years. He said it was like "cutting a new paint job".

He tried to buy my car but settled on $250, lucky for me.

Look how close it came to where the hood emblem has been.

He has worked for the same dealership for 40 years cleaning up trade ins. Him, my Dad and the guy that owns the dealership grew up fooling with cars together.

Looks great. Keep it waxed and in the garage and you could go a long time before paint.

That looks amazing considering it's the original paint job! I also liked seeing the Nissan Hardbody in the background. It seems like a lot of guys that own Z's also have a Nissan pickup!

Hard to beat a Nissan that's for sure! I've never heard anybody complain about theirs if they've taken halfway decent care of it.

Hard to beat that leaf blower in the bed of that Hardbody too, Stihl BR600. It has a SUMMER/WINTER flap just like our 240s.

I bought my Nissan pickup new in 1997 and it still runs great! After 17 years the exhaust system rusted out (mostly the muffler), but I only drove the truck one winter in Iowa so the body is still clean. We don't have much need for leaf blowers in the winter, although it would work for the dry powder snow!

when i got my car i started to wet sand it with 2000 and 3000 paper. after that gave it a good polish with the 3M system to get rid of all the smaller scratches.
took me 3 days but worth the effort. i guess it was a so called street paint job with a lot of orange peel now you won´t notice.
