Hey all,
New to the forum. I have a 1977 280Z Zap that I picked up for $3k. 50K original miles on the block, looks like it had a new head installed or maybe just wicked cleaned. It is road worthy but out of tune in some way or another. I've done a lot with trying to get the AFM and vacuum systems straightened out so far but it's not solid yet (vastly improved since pick up day). Seems to me that these cars are UBER vacuum dependent and my next step is going to be to replace ALL rubber in the motor. So far I have done all bushings, Trimmed the AFM as best I can with limited access to tools (Including a sniffer), made my way through the interior electrical (someone made some changes and I am trying to un-change them) and removed the AC system that was not functioning at all. I post some of my progress to my public FB garage page here: https://facebook.com/TinkerKingGarage if you're interested in following. My progress is slow due to income but I have a plan and direction so that's that.
Of course I am here for the infinite wisdom that comes with a forum of people that have already made the mistakesand fixed them.
I live in the Denver area of Colorado so if you're local feel free to hit me up for a meet up or just to say hi.
Looking forward to all the learning I can do here and maybe even assisting someone else.

Yes, welcome to the club.
I have a '77 also and the best information I've gotten is from a fellow member Blue. His first Z was a '77 and he has done everything imaginable to his and shared it with all of us, great pictures too.

Welcome to the group and your next diseaZe! As long as we keep filling the owner's ranks of old cars with young owners, these classics will stay alive.
