HI ALL,
just have to tell you all 'cause I am SOOOO exited!
Please all you Aussie members, let some of the others guess this one 'cause it will be way too easy for you guys.
Well the new car to join my fleet is (going to give you clues now) ...
Nicknamed Godzilla because it dominated the Group A Touring Car Championship, winning 29 races it contested, before the rules were changed to basically stop that model car from ever race again.
Priced at AUD$110,000 when new, its makers had to sell 100 cars locally in order to homologate the car for racing. (there are many more sold around the world, but not officially in Australia, only the 100, all the others are grey imports)
Mine is one of those 100 locally delivered ones, highly collectable and rare, will be collecting it mid week providing all goes well. It has full service history and never been crashed or a single panel repainted, it is just immaculate! (I intend to keep it that way, original and immaculate, that is where the value is...)
Well, good luck for all those that are guessing, and the winner gets and ice-cream cone.

I'll be a good sport about it I'll just say I know what it is and your a lucky boy. I wouldn't mind a baby Godzilla that would be a blast but there fairly expensive.
Your even luckier getting one of the official ones, so that means it's the early body style too.
So what are you gonna drive everyday? the new aquisition or the 240z???
.
Congratulations, I'm sure George will be impressed.
Ah so you can tell me if the {EDIT _______ EDIT} really has "we use spartan air" written on the stock mag wheels.
What colour is it? A silver {EDIT} used to live around the corner from a friend of mine in woodlands.

Mr Camouflage, can you please edit your post so the car's make and model isn't there?
I would like to see if overseas pleople can guess the car...

Cuong! We anit back-woods dummies! We're Nissan fans! I got to ride in one, once. how lucky is that!
Seriously, that's a beauty. even without seen the photos, I'm envious. With the Rice-Boy culture out here, the Sklyline, especially that model, is of legendary status. Deservedly so, in this case.
Lucky you! Obviously a Nguyen-Win situation!

I'm curious, how much extra $$$ is an Aussie delivered one compared to the import ones?
(you can just give a rough figure if you dotn want to disclose the price you paid for yours)
Gunmetal grey is a nicer colour though...![]()

Congratulations Cuong. I'm sure you'll enjoy this new car.
Hi everyone,
thanks for your comments, I am wrapped that I've got the opportunity to get this world class motor car. Right car at the wrong time, but.. I HAD to have it! (I will be forever in debt!)
Mike, I WILL finish the yellow zed, and no, I will not sell the car, ever.
Will post pics of the new car as I will pick it up on Monday afternoon.
Sorry I know this is a z site, (but I thought more than a few of you guys would appreciate the GTR as well)

It seems from the list in your signature, that you're going around and collecting some of the best Japanese cars ever made. You dirty bastard, I'm quite envious. Have fun with all of your cars now.
Unless you sell it to ME!Originally posted by Cuong Nguyen

Awesome, I'd love to see the picts. About the Z content... no big deal because Skyline's and Z's seem to go together for some reason. Will post pics of the new car as I will pick it up on Monday afternoon.

Hi All,
just uploaded some pics of my R32 GTR. It is all that I thought it would be and more! Now that my long time dream car is in my driveway, it is hard to think of something that I would want to buy (within reach) Maybe a R34 GTR would be nice...

I don't what the big deal is here?? I got one of those Skyline's here in the states for 299.00 us doillars!!! Of course i had to win it on my Playstation 2, but i still have one!!OFL
Cuong Nguyen, congrats i am very envious!! Maybe you could bring it to California and race it at Infineon and Laguna Seca and we could all take turns?? Thought i would try (HTO i like your Yellow Z better).
Z ya,
Paul
If it ain't a Z, it ain't...............
Cuong,
That is a beautiful GTR. The R32 GTR is my all time favorite car (even above the Z). I've wanted one ever since they came out, preferably in silver.
Good to hear you're keeping it original. I'm not that much of a purist but it seems a shame that most of the ones you see around are hacked about with on one way or another.
"Spartan air", huh? does that mean you shouldn't pump the tyres up too much?
Congratulations.
Hi Cuong. I was speaking to a friend of mine about your car and he tells me that the exact figures for the 32 were;Originally posted by Cuong Nguyen

200 brought in
120 sold
80 shipped back
These figures put Nissan Australia off at the time thus we were never to see the Skyline in a showroom floor again.
Hi George,
that is very interesting, because it is well known that Nissan only needed to sell 100 to make the car legal to race. At the end of 1992 the sales tally was 67 and they had difficulty finding homes for the remainder.
Maybe check your friend's sources???

He used to work for Nissan and now works for BMW. He's been around the car scene and in particular Skylines for a while now. Owns a 33T atm but this doesn't mean he's right. He just sounded so sure of himself too.
Well done Cyuong........... I assume it is the model that only made it 6 hours into its first attempt at Bathurst but by that time had lapped every single competitor several times on a 2min plus a lap.The R32 is like owning the 240 of Zeds cooooool. So which will go faster
and which will u want to drive? Good on ya mate cya!
Cuong, in regards to the "how many were sold" thing, if you really want to check it out maybe send a letter to Nissan Australia, or Nissan Japan?
Usually they are very helpful (they were with my past owner of the Z, they photocopied OODLES of stuff for him).
hehe, iono why, but i was thinking you got yourself a caterham super seven. ::shrugs::
i also thought you got a KPCG110. that'd be nice too.
my socks? yeah, they fit quite nice, much cereal... raisin bran maybe. you can find this and more at this.com. this.com is not endorsed by me, and i don't know what it is. lets go see a movie with sandra bullock!
