Thisis now gone and is attached to the much more pliable rubber vacuum lines inside the car. I also changed out the lines from the white plastic vacuum bottle to those BS solenoids. Turned on the car and what do you know all the different vent locations worked! Now for the big one tomorrow. Putting in Johnsen's Freeze 12 and getting the AC working. Never done AC but talked to a guy who seems to know his stuff and worked on a lot of R12 systems back in the day.

Do you know where my Grandpa's 240z is? He sold it around 1994. I think it was a 72. It was orange with black interior and some sort of scissors style aftermarket crank up sunroof. I think it was sold to a fellow pharmacist and I think he was from Egg Harbor Wisconsin. At the time the car had between 32-36k original miles. He sold it for the lowly sum of $3000-$3500.My grandpa passed away a few years ago and I would like to know its whereabouts.
Do yourself a favor and pull a vacuum for at least 30 minutes, and check the leakdown for at least an hour afterwards. Freon is not cheap enough to waste anymore.
