These are the wheels i have installed on my 1972 Datsun 240z:
Nissan Datsun 240Z 260z Original Wheels | eBay
First of all i dont know what year are these wheels from. In one of the corners it states as Nissan branded. I want to restore them completely and would like to know what is the correct procedure. Do i use sandpaper? if so what grit or should i strive for Steel wool? I dont want to scratch them. What about the buffing machine? What product can i use for cleaning and polishing?
What finish do you want? Chrome (mirror) or Aluminum (satin).
The wheels in the ad look nice. I would not start below 800 grit unless you see issues.
Practise on an old wheel first.
There is scarcely anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse, and sell a little more cheaply.
The person who buys on price alone is this man's lawful prey.
